Chapter 3 Interaction design

The Elements of interaction Design

Motion
The position of an object can be described by locating it relative to another object or the background.   * An object's motion can be described by tracing and measuring its position over time.   * The position and motion of objects can be changed by pushing or pulling. The size of the change is related to the strength of the push or pull

The laws of interaction Design

Moore's Law
Although the space has slowed, the number of transistors per square inch has since doubled approximately every 18 months. This is an example of Moore's Law

Characteristic of Good interaction design

With the increasing penetration of the Internet, the advent of home and leisure computing, and eventually the emergence of digital interactive consumer products, the two cultures of design and engineering gravitated towards a common interest in discretionary use and user experience. Towards the turn of the century, the notion of interaction design started to gain in popularity as a way to acknowledge a more designerly approach to the topic
